Now thats a Legacy!

When Barack Obama started his campaign, we all thought that his legacy would be being the first black person to be have a serious shot at the presidency of the United States of America. So, if his campaign were a book we could have thot that the title would be, say, "The new Presidential Race" However, when his campaign ends, I believe the legacy of his journey and campaign will be the fact that what we thought would be his legacy, will be a signicant but smaller part of a much, much greater achievement, one chapter in a great book. I wont presume the title, coz I think he might just take us even further in the next few months, than I expect.

Dancing in the Streets?

When a bigot like Steve King comes out and offers us his verbal diarrhea, its up to us to spend our time repudiating, denouncing, and/or rejecting his comments as offensive, or making him eat his own words by pointing out that his entire argument is INCORRECT.

Radical Islamics want to hit america, and what they want is to strip Americans of being "The land of the free, and the home of the brave!" Electing a president whose middle name is Hussein does nothing to make them dance.   If this man, whose middle name is Hussein, would make the best president, a president some of us could only dream of, a president who would ring a death bell for Al-Quaeda for the superior judgment and unifying force he brings, IF we want to vote for him with every ounce of our judgment and choose NOT to because of what Al Quaeda will think, now that would make them declare victory over America's freedom, that would made them dance in the streets, and that would make them defeat us. Dont let it happen.

Steve King, GOP Congressman: "The radical Islamists, the al-Qaida ... would be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on Sept. 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror," If Obama wins coz his middle name is Hussein.

As the media and all the analysts correctly jump on: The statements are fear-mongering, divisive, racist and push the election into the exactly the negative area that they have been in the last two elections. Yes, the statements should be repudiated, denounced and rejected, whichever word is preferred. However, the biggest issue to me is not that the statement is offensive, it is the statement is Stupidly INCORRECT, and I would rather have that hammered on than the offensive part of it.

Yes, Al Qaeda danced in the streets on 9-11, and they will dance in higher numbers when they feel that they have done more to defeat the United States of America. That being said:

What is victory for radicals like Al-Quaeda:

I don't know the correct answer to this but it really seems

1. Loss of American lives, as some sort of revenge for their presence and influence in the Middle East, and because of the difference in the democratic (land of free) philosophy, versus their radical views.

2. Expanding their base to include in their efforts every person in the world who opposes the US, and believe that they have been wronged by the US.

3. To hit the US at the heart of the very principles they stand for ie, slowly start to strip away the freedom of the people in the land of the free.

4. Witness ways in which their attacks and constant threat and terrorizing american people, causes them to change their decisions, way of life, and even more watch their politicians use Al -Quaeda's threat and presence against the people to get elected.

Without getting into details and just looking at the events of the last 8 years, Al Quaeda made some headway on 1) through 9-11, made some headway on 2) when a group of people in Iraq who were involved in internal turmoil nothing to do with the US, got invaded by the US and might have joined with Al Quaeda in a common purpose, made some more progress on 1) by having tons of young american soldiers thrown in front of em to fight.

But nothing will be a victory like 3 and 4 to Al Quaeda, of watching how republican commentators are using the fear of Al quaeda to create fear of Obama by using his middle name. This attacks the freedom of Americans, and even more, if the American people want to vote for Obama for all his pros, uniting them, bringing new voters in, hope, change, judgement, and if they have to change their vote just because they are being conned into thinking that electing a man whose middle name is Hussein could be dangerous because of Al Quaeda, now that would make the radicals dance. They would have managed to strip the Land of the Free and home of the brave, of both their freedom, and their bravery!

I sincerely hope that Steve King and his ridiculous comments are not significant enough to make it onto TV in foreign nations. Because if they are, I am sure his comments made Al-Quaeda members dance, coz they must have celebrated stripping the freedom of a US Congressman. Coz the day they affect the freedom of our minds, and our choices, they can add one person to their victory column. And the day they hear a US Congressman utter radical irrational sentences like they do, well they probably stripped his freedom and made a friend. Congrats, Steve King, you're the star, and Al-Quaeda is dancing with YOU!

Hypocrisis!

 

Hillary Clinton actually has pretty good policy, and if you watch stories of her life it does come through that she actually cares about people less fortunate than her. Her problem seems to be in a world that is sometimes slightly hypocritical she comes through extremely hypocritical. Following any two consecutive weeks of what she says makes the listener scream out "How can she get away with this!"

The latest one is the most glaring!

She has been at it for months, but lately her entire focus is saying that Barack is below her imaginary threshold of Commander - in - chief, while she thinks she and McCain are above it. Well, america as a country, america as a people, and the hundreds of thousands of lives overseas are suffering everyday because of a decision she and McCain agreed with. Lack of judgement, and definitely not a quality of Commander-In-Chief. Though judgement, can be honed, gained with years and experience, it is usually something inherent in a person's nature, the ability to listen, think and then come to conclusions. You could say to some extent, you are born with it. So, I dont believe there is a threshold, and if there is its Hillary and McCain who need to do the crossing in the eyes of the American People.

But while these attacks are a part of her short-sighted negative campaign, both she and her husband are now hinting towards the "dream-ticket" ie President Hillary Clinton and VP Barack Obama as a good idea. While I think it is a formidable ticket, choosing a VP nominee as running mate, is the first person chosen by a presidential nominee, the person who shares the responsibilities of every issue infront of the P, and is best qualified to step in if anything happens to the P. By hinting at the ticket, Hillary and Bill, have admitted that either they believe that Barack is excellently qualified to be the President of the United States of American, and her words over the last few weeks are pure hypocrisy so that she can win, or she actually believes in her words, and is hypocritical enough to put on the ticket against her judgment to woo his unbelievable level of support.

Either ways hypocrisy all the way!

Other examples of her hypocrisy:

Happy with the media when they said she was the inevitable nominee, believes in media conspiracy when they stopped.

Wants to run on experience, but does not want to be questioned on any blemish in her experience. 

Wants to be awarded with 8 years of credit for every right decision made by Bill, wants to suggest she was secretly against the bad decisions he made (NAFTA)

Accused Barack of "xeroxing" lines, though they were from his friend, and suggested that each word should be his own, while in the same debate she ended with something like, "I've had a lot of challenges in my life, but none of them compare to what the american people go through everyday" a line Bill used in 1992, and in the same breath said "we'll be fine, the question is will America be fine", the last line in Edward's speech when he exited the race.

Suggests Barack has speeches and no solutions, when 45 minutes into the debate she admits that their solutions are 95% the same.

Says she is honored to be in the campaign with Obama, and two days later says "Shame on you" instead of saying that the flier had a misstatement.

Has run the most negative campaign imaginable, at least in the democratic party, and compares him to Bush, Rove, and then Kenneth Starr.

MEDIA got Punked!

Many people who think that Barack Obama is the great Uniter should take a look at Hillary. Why? Well, in the last week, she managed to reach across the aisle, and unite Repulican commentators, rebulican strategists, George Bush, John McCain and her campaign to help her lift and throw the kitchen sink at Obama. Even more, while running an extemely negative campaign (at least by democratic standards) she managed to get the media to work day and night for her too while thinking that they are being unfair to HER! Simply masterful!

So has the Media been unfair? Mike Huckabee: Though they have pointed out that Mike Huckabee's campaign was mathematically irrelevant, they always protrayed him as the charming and entertaining guy that he is, and indicated that he is in the race for all the RIGHT reasons. John McCain: Sure, the NYT attacked him, but the rest of the media tore them apart and distanced themselves from that article, Barack: Yes, they have spent a lot of time covering how he has inspired people, and brought out the young vote .. why? coz no one has done it on a long time... Candidates have run filthy campaigns before, campaigns have scared, divided people before, campaigns have swept the primaries but no one has done what he has .... so thats NEWS not bias! As for Hillary: When she was the frontrunner, she got the front runner treatment and they said her candidacy was inevitable, when she ran on experience, they probed her about her experience ... why coz she WAS running on experience ? And when she lost 11 states in a row, a feat which would have eliminated candidates like Obama, the media did not rule her out, and rightfully so, she is a fighter! And yes they were covering her day to day because she was and is giving a performance that overshadows Ed Nortons performance in both Primal Fear and Fight Club! One day she says she is honored to be on stage with him .. the next she is says "Shame on you!" She screams that he has no solutions, but the next week 45 minutes into the debate, their solutions are 95% the same ....

But her strategy just before Ohio was masterful. She decided to go as negative as possible while accusing Barack of running a negative campaign. Result. She managed to trick the media into thinking they were biased towards her. They never pounced on the fact that she quoted SNL in a formal debate (On the same show Tina Fey called her a BITCH!), we never heard anything about her tax returns, all we heard were a series of questions for Barack, several of which he definitely owed answers. While getting the media to ignore her follies, and actions, and getting them to do all her digging work, she set the stage for Republicans to jump on Obama too. Join her in attacking him on the relevant issues, and team up (separately of course) in raising the beautiful issues of "Is Barack Muslim?" "Why is his middle name Hussein?" "What was he wearing in a photo?", giving Barack 48 hours to respond to the good, the bad, the ugly, and the downright retarded!

Congrats media, stand up job on the reporting! You got punked!

Broken Government : Broken MEDIA

The media has lately caught on well to the fact that the Goverment is broken.  Well done! The last 6 months, every time you turn on TV, you'll be treated to News Shows that splash powerful captions ... Broken Government - Scorched Earth, Broken Government - Broken HealthCare, Broken Government - War  .... so on so forth ... .

While these ground breaking reports are fascinating there is still one news article I am dying to see on TV captioned:

                          Broken Government : : BROKEN MEDIA ........

I am sure its fun for the media to criticize the government, and trust me this Government deserves every ounce of it and more, and while I agree with their powerful new line-up the question that cracks my head in two is "Did they just figure this out, yesterday?"

1) The country's foreign policy and foreign relations has been shattered for 5 years now, since the day they diverted their attention to Iraq.

Foreign policy? Saddam Hussein as we all know,  was one of the most treacherous dictators/murderers in the history of the world. However, there were NO weapons of mass destruction (sorry for being the being the millionth person to repeat that!) but why should I be sorry when this administration will not be sorry when the millionth person dies because of this war and that might have already happened coz the casualty estimate, everyone included, good, bad and ugly is 600, 000 to 1, 000, 000 people. A foreign policy that made a decision that killed more than 500, 000 people and thinks the war is going well, and are succeeding ...redefines the word Collateral Damage.

Foreign Relations? Going in for the war without the support of the rest of world, endangering the country by engaging in the very act (murderous presence in foreign lands - justified or unjustified) that has in part spawned and fully fueled radical terrorism and then being more stubborn about a mistake than humanly possible? There are no more foreign relations ...

 2) Healthcare? The country's healthcare has always been broken: broken by pharmaceutical companies who abuse their medicines to drain every penny people earn with as much greed as the Middle East does with their oil! Broken by their ads that can convince every healthy person who is watching Tv, that they are depressed, fat, and diseased. Broken by an insurance system that relishes in the pharmaceuticals greed to gamble on peoples health, fears and inability to cope with prices, and broken by doctors who just wanna survive in the system by forcing medicine on people like spam, and by a population that has been trained to believe that their health is reflected in the number of medicines they take, lack of symptoms, driven purely in every decision by fear, fear and more fear .... I dont blame us, we never stood a chance!

 3) Economy? Well, most the of the economic strength of the 90's was because of the american companies and the amerian people, not really the government, they just didnt do their part in protecting the American people from a world of creditors eyeing the money of the newly rich, and even more the lack of money of the not-newly rich in a newly rich world.

4) GOVERNMENT? What Government?  Group of people who work for a even more powerful group of people, turn around and "Collateralize" people overseas, and even more COLLATERALIZE their own people, failing to serve the people who voted for them, put their trust in them, with a sole achievement of dividing the people by political beliefs, religion, race and every other division possible ... Broken yes ... New NEWS? No ... We all have seen this happening for several years now?  Who is the MEDIA? The people who are smart, curious and trained to report this before we catch on to it ... so why are we hearing them say it after we figured it out, screamed it out and then got tired of screaming it out .... coz they are BROKEN, as broken as the governement, as broken as health-care, as scorched as the Earth  ..... The truth is the government has been breaking for more than 8 years now .. .sure it would be sweet to blame it all on Bush .. but the government started breaking a long time ago, the day an American President performed a feat, or had a feat performed on him in the White House, came out and lied to his people about it, the day the American President got impeached and the day the country went to vote not knowing what they were voting for ..... Issues? Morals? Punishing the party for its leaders actions? The day the election split 50 - 50 the breaking government started bleeding ... The saddest event in the history of this country, 9 -11 was actually the one time the Government showed signs of healing, strength and just something ... Bush and his guys have to be given some credit for attempting to heal a wounded nation, and they did a good job ... but as many traumatic incidents, the aftermath proved even more devastating than the trauma! Iraq happened and the bleeding government just gave way .....

I watch the news everyday. I know that some of our reporters are the smartest reporters in the world, probably dying for the last 5 years to come out of the fear closet and scream out at what was going on ... but it never happened ..

Why? BROKEN GOVERNMENT: BROKEN MEDIA
