HILLARY AND HER EXCUSES ...
Am thrilled to see the word EXCUSES in a spot-on post about Hillary’s campaign. I think she started a pretty decent campaign this time around, came through better than she normally does, and definitely had her moments … but then began a deluge of excuses …
She believes that the media is biased against her, my opinion is that she is the media’s dream come true coz every word she says begs a swing!
I heard her say after the Louisiana loss, something like, Because of a proud African American population there .. coz Barack won 80% of the black vote .. but she failed to research that Kerry won by a wider margin among black voters in Louisiana (84% I think) and last time I checked Kerry was white as white can be. and then he won Maine, not really a proud African American population there. Maybe just maybe people were voting as people ..
Then started the, Caucuses dont suit me excuse when he won Washington State … Then he won three primaries in DC, Virginia, and MD. Luckily those primaries’ polls erased even the slightest division men, women, white black, blue collar, white collar .. so she moved on ….
I have solutions and he has words and he steals words excuse. Nice argument until you have a debate where you accept that ur policies (solutions) are 95% similar, and you have a pretty nice closing moment using lines from hubby dearest’s 1992 speech and John Edwards exit speech.
And it continues …
I am experienced and want Clinton administrations victories in my column, but I dont like being called out on ambivalence in my opinions on NAFTA …. (though distorted by the Obama campaign)
I want to throw the kitchen sink (send out a pic of Obama wearing a turban) but wanna accuse him of Rove tactics …
I wanna accuse him of being inconsistent even though tonite the world waits with bated breath of which Hillary will we be treated to ……
I dont agree with anything George Bush says, but at least I dont hear him making excuses everyday and he does have a few he could make, 9-11, upside down catastrophic world (katrina, fires etc..), and above all the first 24-7 blogging media ….
If Hillary already has such a huge excuse list against Obama, seems like she could sum up her improbable first term as “Oh Bush left me nothing to work with”
